North American Prospect Weekly Report (10/15 – 10/31)

The North American Prospect Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects playing in the various leagues throughout North America.

Forwards:

Andrew Rowe stepped up big after Patrick Maroon’s dismissal with 2 goals and 1 assist on Saturday. Jonathan Kalinski also stepped up with a goal and 2 assists. Stefan Legein gets back on the score sheet this week with 2 assists. Dave Labrecque and Michael Chaput each recorded a goal and an assist in QMJHL action. Brendan Ranford continues his point per game pace with also a goal and assist. Shane Harper recorded his first point of the season in the ECHL.

Defenseman:

The defenseman continue to pile up the minuses as their teams continue to struggle. Offensively this was somewhat a quiet week with Oskars Bartulis, Ricard Blidstrand, Marc-Andre Bourdon, and Tyler Hostetter recording a point each.

Goalies:

Adam Morrison got to start all three games due to what appears to be an injury to start Steven Sanford. He struggled in the first two games giving up 5 goals on 33 shots and 4 goals on 28 shots. He was also pulled in the 3rd period of the 2nd game. His third start was a bit better giving up 3 goals on 24 shots and recording the win. Nicola Riopel really settled in this weekend in the ECHL. He won both games he started, allowing only 3 goals total.
