The North American Prospect Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects playing in the various leagues throughout North America.
Forwards:
Brendan Ranford continued his domination of the WHL this weekend with a pair of 3 point games (3 g, 3 a). He was named the WHL player of the week for his performance. Shane Harper has settled in the ECHL nicely with a 5 point performance over his last 3 games. Dave Labrecque had a huge 4 point performance on Saturday which included a hat trick. Michael Chaput had a nice week in QMJHL action finishing with 1 goal and 2 assists over 2 games. Stefan Legein’s offensive game got back on track this week as he finished with 3 points (1 g, 2 a) over 3 games. Eric Wellwood continues to play well after being returned to the Phantoms. He recorded a goal and an assist.

Defenseman:
Erik Gustafsson continued to rack up the points with the Phantoms. He scored a goal and assisted on two others. Kevin Marshall finished with 2 assists in 3 games which were his first points of the season. Tyler Hostetter had a dominant week offensively. He finished with 4 points (1 g, 3 a ) in 3 games. Marc-Andre Bourdon appears to have been a rock defensively for the Phantoms this week as he was the only Phantoms defender to finish with a plus on the week.

Goalies:
Nic Riopel continues to play well in the ECHL. He recorded his first shutout of the season on Saturday when he stopped all 32 shots he faced. He also stopped 31 of 35 on Thursday to get the win. Johan Backlund continues to struggle with the Phantoms. He let in 10 goals over 3 games and was pulled halfway in the 3rd game. Brian Stewart’s only action was when he came in relief of Backlund and let in 1 goal on the 10 shots he faced. Adam Morrison didn’t fare much in the WHL. He let in 4 goals on 27 shots in his first start. He was then pulled in the second game after letting in 2 of the 14 shots he faced.
