North America Prospect Weekly Report (2/7-2/13)

The North American Prospect Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects playing in the various leagues throughout North America.

Forwards:

Dave Labrecque cooled down to a mere point per game pace on the week. He had a goal and 2 assists over three games played. Brendan Ranford also finished with a goal and 2 assists over his two games. Michael Chaput had a fairly quiet week, finishing with one assist over three games. Shane Harper had a pair of goals in ECHL action. Mike Testwuide scored a goal and assisted on another in the second of the Phantoms two games. Stefan Legein also scored a goal for the Phantoms. Ben Holmstrom had a pair of assists in his second game. Finally, Jonathon Kalinski and Eric Wellwood each recorded an assist with the Phantoms.

Defenseman:

Tyler Hostetter was finally back in action since a November hand injury kept him out of the lineup. He had a pair of games where he scored a goal. Erik Gustaffson had a nice week both on the offensive and defensive side of the puck. He scored a goal in one game and had a pair of assists in the other while finishing a +3 on the week. Oliver Lauridsen had his best weekend on both the offensive and defensive side of the puck. He had a pair of assists in one game and finished a +3. Ricard Blidstrand recorded one assist in his four games, but had a rough week defensively. He finished a -6 in 4 games.

Goalies:

Brian Stewart started one of Bakersfield’s two games. He let in 3 goals on 28 shot to win the game. Nic Riopel started all three for Greenville. He started off well, but finished with one poor outing which made his overall stats look bad. He stopped 28 of 30 in his first game, but was charged with the loss due to a lack of goal support. He then stopped 25 of 28 shots in his next game and got the win. His third outing was one to forget. He let in 8 goals on 37 shots and lost the game.
