Poll: Would you rather re-sign Leino or have Gagne back?

Gagne may be taking a paycut and Leino is in line for a sizable raise. All things considered, the two players could end up making about the same amount next season. Which would you rather have?

If they cost the same amount, would you rather retain Leino or sign Gagne?

Sign the vet! It would not only be a nice move to let him come back and retire here but also he is clutch. I would give up the games due to minor injuries for his veteran presence and scoring touch.

This would also help Mike Richards out because he could play with a great 2 way forward who can pass and score. Lavy would be able to do what he loves and that is roll all the lines and not worry to much about match ups.

Also remember Leino will be 28 in october and Gagne is still 31….not a big difference. Just look at the numbers from last year. Gags was just under a point per game still…

Much as I want Gagne back, his injury history scares me. Ville’s hip is always a concern but Gagne’s head, shoulder, groin, etc. add up to more concerns.

I beleive the Flyers will get more games / production from Leino. In a perfect world, we’ll get both back.
