In yet another move on the first day of free agency, the Flyers signed UFA defender, Andreas Lilja.
Lilja spend last season in Anaheim after playing the previous 5 in Detroit. He is a 6’3″, 220lb, left-handed defender. He was likely signed to replace Sean O’Donnell who just signed in Chicago for $850K.
Lilja, 35, will provide another veteran presence on the blue line. He had a cap hit of $600k last season and played 52 games for the Ducks.
TSN reports that Lilja signed a one-year deal. Anthony SanFilippo says the deal worth about $750k.
