Flyers sign Talbot

Yeah, he's a Flyer.

In what has turned out to be an incredibly busy couple of hours for the Philadelphia Flyers, the team announced the signing of center Max Talbot.

The former Penguin signed a five-year deal worth $9M, according to TSN.

Talbot is best known in Philadelphia for fighting Dan Carcillo in Game 6 of the 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

The fight was considered a turning point in the game, as the Penguins rallied from a three-goal deficit and eliminated the Flyers after this fight.

Talbot, 27, plays both center and wing. He is listed at 5’11″, 191lbs. Last season, he posted 21 points (8G, 13A) in 82 games for the Penguins.
