According to Frank Seravalli, the Flyers inked free agent center, Michal Handzus to a new contract. No number has been reported yet.
However, you should take this report with a grain of salt at this point in time. Dave Isaac, of Philly Sports Daily, reported this on Twitter:
Michal Handzus‘ agent says the #Flyers have not yet been in contact regarding a contract.
Handzus played for the Flyers from the ’03-’06 seasons and. Most recently, he played for the LA Kings. He would help fill the team’s need for a bottom six center and penalty killer.
UPDATE: At this point, this report turned out to be incorrect. There is currently no deal in place.
UPDATE: Handzus signed a 2 year, $5M deal with the San Jose Sharks today.
