Oh Danny Boy, the ice, the ice is calling…
One of three signings by the Flyers on Day Three of Free Agency, Danny Syvret is back for his third turn with the franchise.
The 27-year-old defenseman spent last year in the American Hockey League with the Blues’ affiliate in Peoria, tallying seven goals and 42 points in 75 games for the Rivermen.
He suited up for a four-game stint with the Flyers two seasons ago, failing to record a point, but appeared in 51 games for the Adirondack Phantoms after his re-acquisition from Anaheim — scoring 10 times with 26 assists.
For Syvret, it’s reportedly a two-year, two-way deal which will pay him $$275,000 in the AHL or $575,000 in the NHL for the upcoming season.
Also on Tuesday, defenseman Cullen Eddy and restricted free agent forward Mike testwuide were re-signed.
Eddy, a 23-year-old Pennsylvania native, split last year between Adirondack and Greenville of the ECHL, combining for six goals and 29 points.
Testwuide, a Colorado College product, notched 12 goals and 17 assists in 66 games at Glens Falls in 2011-12. Over two AHL campaigns, the native of Vail, Colorado has totaled 30 goals and 68 points in 142 contests.
