Marcel Noebels is the Trenton Titans’ lone representative at the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game, which will be a contest between the ECHL All-Stars and the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday, January 23 in Loveland, Colorado.
The Philadelphia Flyers’ fourth-round selection in 2011 is one of nine rookies to be selected to this year’s All-Star squad.
Noebels is currently second on the Titans with 30 points, as the first-year professional has 11 goals and 19 helpers in 31 games for the Flyers’ affiliate this year. He is tied for fourth among all ECHL rookies in points and is tied for the lead in assists among rookies as well. The German forward produced 21 of his 30 points in the ECHL this season during the month of December, where he had nine goals and 12 assists in 14 contests. Noebels also registered at least one point in 12 of those 14 games and recorded five multi-point tilts along the way.
For his outstanding performance in December, he was named the ECHL Rookie of the Month.
The Flyers’ prospect is no longer on Trenton’s roster, as he was called up by the Adirondack Phantoms on New Year’s Day. He has yet to record a point in a pair of AHL games for the team that currently sits last in the Northeast Division.
