Kimmo Timonen will be back in Orange and Black in 2013-14, thanks to a one-year deal worth $6,000,000.
Eklund was first with the news, citing an undisclosed teammate on Wednesday night who hinted that the 37-year-old Finn was going to re-up.
Timonen has contributed 28 goals and 211 points over 327 regular-season games since coming over in a July, 2007 deal, and has soldiered through a number of injuries as he has aged, including blood clots in his leg during the 2008 playoff run to back surgery performed this offseason.
