Poll: On a 1-10 scale, how confident are you that the Flyers are a playoff team?

Through fifteen games, the Flyers are 6-8-1, tied for ninth in the Eastern Conference, and only two points ahead of the Islanders in the basement of the Atlantic Division. They have shown an amazing amount of ineptness at times, but they’ve also shown plenty of glimpses of their skill. So far, it’s been much more of the former than the latter.

ZERO chances of playoffs with this defense, with a dud of a season for Giroux and other players not named Read, with the injuries and with a coach shuffling lines like crazy and not willing to adjust the style of play to this team’s capabilities.

I’d actually argue that the defense ranks third behind goaltending and the offense in terms of blame. Now, the team defense is terrible, but the defenseman themselves have been better than I anticipated.

The Flyers’ inability to score right now is the biggest issue, in my opinion.

Flyers are one of about 10 teams who deserve a mulligan for whatever happens in this poor excuse for an NHL season.

Shotty defence careless turnovers not hitting open nets trouble getting the puck out of their own zone all this adda up to finishing last in the east with no playoffs

I believe that the Flyers will not only make the playoffs, but will finish as one of the top 4 seeeds. They have had an up and down season so far with injuries to several players but still continue to be in striking distance. Even if Holmgren doesn’t make a move by the trade deadline, a healthy Flyers lineup will gel down the stretch and make a serious playoff run.

The Flyers “D” is a joke they can’t get the puck out of their zone, soft passes aren’t going to make it. The goaltender is a over rated fishnet. They traded the better goaltender away. Their offense seems like nobody wants to shoot the puck, just pass it around to make that pretty play. Next Year Maybe they need a serious look at their goaltender.
