Talbot has broken leg, season possibly over

Despite all the good which may result from a 5-4 overtime comeback victory over the Washington Capitals last night, what’s this 2013 season if not one for injury misfortunes?

On Monday, the Flyers added one more to the pile, reporting that forward Max Talbot suffered a broken left leg and is out indefinitely.

Talbot suffered the injury late in the second period after a knee-to-knee collision with a Capitals defender. He left the ice unable to put any pressure on the leg and had to be carried by team staff into the locker room.

The 29-year-old native of Quebec was in the process of warming up offensively, having totaled five goals and 10 points in 35 games this year.
