The 37-year-old defenseman, who has spent the balance of the season with the Adirondack Phantoms, has apparently signed a two-year deal with Rogle beginning next season.
It was first reported by the Courier Post of South Jersey, then confirmed by Matias Strozyk on Saturday afternoon.
Lilja has totaled one goal and seven points in 25 games at Glens Falls this year, and only found his way into the Flyers’ lineup once since the league returned from its lockout. He was due to make $700,000 this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in July.
A native of Helsingborg, Lilja began his professional career with Malmo of the Swedish Elite League, playing there from 1994-2000 before arriving in North America.
He returned to play 44 games with Mora during the 2004-05 lockout.
