Welcome to Around the Net, a weekly look through linkage at the Philadelphia Flyers and other news from around the NHL.

Just a quick note, today is my birthday. Don’t ask me how old I am, just know this, I was 27 days old, the last time the Flyers won the Stanley Cup, so it’s been awhile.

The young man on top of today’s blog is Shea Theodore, ranked number eleven by North American Central Scouting. He is a left handed defenseman, read more about him here: [NHL.com]

Clean out day thoughts

I hate clean out day, now we have to wait five months for hockey: [Hockeybuzz-Bill Meltzer]

Flyers lose draft lottery, stay at 11

At least the Devils didn’t move up, that would have sucked: [The Checking Line] [Broad Street Hockey]

Looking ahead

Looking forward to next season, what moves will the Flyers make? [The 700 Level] [Philly.com-Frank Seravalli]

Well hockey is done in Philly this year, but go see the Phillies or some playoff hockey in another town. Get some Philadelphia Phillies tickets.

That’s all for today, join me Friday for more links from around the web on the Flyers and the NHL.
