Philadelphia Flyers Forward Jakub Voracek was involved in a car accident earlier today.
Voracek crashed his Ferrari into a truck near his home town in Kladno, Czech Republic. The 23 year-old Flyers winger was luckily uninjured in the accident. Paul Holmgren spoke with Jake earlier in the day and released a statement about it. “He was involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic. Although his car did suffer damage, there were no injuries. Jake is fine,” said Holmgren.
The news was first reported by a Czech news outlet (sport.cz)
According to the site, Voracek tried to avoid hitting the truck head on and ended up hitting a tree and telephone pole. Jake was also not following speed limits and admitted his fault to the police. He has already paid the fines associated with the accident.
