Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
This week we’re showing you a picture that was tweeted out by last year’s Norris Trophy winner and potential cyborg, Erik Karlsson. After the Ottawa Senators were eliminated from the playoffs by the Pittsburgh Senators, Karlsson, as I’m sure many others did, went out to blow off some steam at what I can only guess is some kind of bar, and let us all know that “hey, just because I’m a hockey player, doesn’t mean I’m not human” (you know, despite the fact that the guy had a huge tear in his Achilles and somehow came back in half the time he was supposed to miss):
It’s probably a team rule that players aren’t supposed to be tweeting while under the influence, much less show themselves with alcohol in front of them, but it’s the offseason, so who cares? Karlsson looks like he had a real good time that night, and rightfully so because even the game’s greatest players deserve to hang out and get hammered every now and again off the ice, considering how often they get hammered while playing.
That’s all for this installment of Hockey Hilarity… Later!
