Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
Since the Stanley Cup Finals are upon us, and the Philadelphia Flyers have already started to leak or announce some of the things they’re going to be doing as part of their plan this offseason, a name has come up in rumors (again!?) that has been circulated for, well, forever with the Orange and Black. That name is none other than Anaheim Ducks forward, and Cherry Hill native, Bobby Ryan.
Bobby Ryan was recently tweeted by somebody and responded fairly quickly after last year’s fiasco where he spoke with Randy Miller saying something along the lines of “I gotta be honest with you. At this point, I don’t care. Move me … because it’s just tough going to the rink every day knowing that if something goes wrong, you’re going to be the guy moved.” and “… For me, if I’m moved, Philadelphia would be a very ideal and comfortable place for me.” (quotes from Randy Miller’s story here).
LOL OMG. But seriously, I doubt Ryan will be a Flyer unless they somehow get a better deal than the one that’s floating around.
Catch you guys next week when I review that awful commercial with Nicklas Backstrom and his “splinter” that’s really, really stupid. Actually, you know what, I won’t, because that ad sucks and even I’m funnier than that.
