Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!

This year, the Philadelphia Flyers finally drafted for need at a position rather than the best player available when they picked up Samuel Morin as their first selection at 11th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He’s kinda hard to forget as he is 6’6″ tall and weighs a solid 203 lbs for a 17-year-old kid who is from Lac-Beauport, Quebec. Morin is projected to be a shutdown defender who can occasionally chip in. That’s pretty much the polar opposite of one, Claude Giroux, the 5’11″, 179 lbs center center from Hearst, Ontario, who had this to say on draft day via Twitter:

Because we all remember this:

Oh Bob.

This was fun. I’ll see you next week where I’m sure we’ll have some fun free agent stuff to rib on.
