Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
Okay, so this has nothing really to do with the real game of hockey, but the virtual one counts, right? The NHL ’14 demo was released this week and it’s pretty cool.
On a related note: I was perusing Twitter and came across this retweet by none other than Sean Ramjagsingh, “Producer – EA Sports NHL series and tweeter of random things not related to my job!” (well that’s according to his Twitter description anyway).

I mean hey, let’s be honest, I like hockey and I like video games… But, doesn’t this seem a little excessive? I mean I’m not sure where @flopfishthebaus is from, but couldn’t the guy have ran down to a pawn shop, picked up an old tuber guy for like 10-15 bucks or something, and played the game that way? Either way, I applaud this dude for his dedication. INTENSE!
As you can tell, it’s still not hockey season, but it’s getting closer as the release of the NHL ’14 demo is usually a good indication that the season is lurking somewhere ahead. Kind of like Dan Carcillo waiting for another shot at Marian Gaborik… I wonder if the enforcer engine would have had a third man jump in on the action during that sequence, because the New York Rangers sure didn’t…
