Flyers Roster Takes Shape; Hall, Gervais sent to Adirondack

The Flyers 2013-14 roster finally has been set, just minutes before the 5:00 PM deadline set by the NHL. After forward Adam Hall and defenseman Bruno Gervais cleared waivers, the team sent them to their AHL affiliate Adirondack Phantoms. General Manager Paul Holmgren also said that defenseman Chris Pronger would be put on long-term injury reserve before the night was over.

It seems likely that the Flyers will tender a contract now to tryout Hal Gill, who may either be sent to Adirondack as well, or be the team’s extra defenseman. The extra cap relief from Pronger going on LTIR will also allow the Flyers to recall Hall again, if they so please.

The roster stands as:

Forwards: Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Jake Voracek, Vincent Lecavalier, Wayne SImmonds, Brayden Schenn, Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton, Max Talbot, Matt Read, Jay Rosehill, Zac Rinaldo

Defensemen: Kimmo Timonen, Luke Schenn, Braydon Coburn, Mark Streit, Erik Gustafsson, Nicklas Grossman, Andrej Meszaros

Goalies: Ray Emery, Steve Mason
