Gameday FAQ: Flyers vs Coyotes

Here is your Philadelphia Flyers Gameday FAQ for Friday, October 11, 2013.

When and where are the Flyers playing?

The Philadelphia Flyers (1-3-0) host the Phoenix Coyotes (2-2-0) at the Wells Fargo Center for a 7:00pm matchup.

How can I watch this game?

This game will be shown on Comcast Sportsnet (CSN Philly) locally. You can also find it on FSAZ if you’re hanging out in the desert.

The game will also be broadcast on 93.3 WMMR for those who prefer the smooth sounds of Tim Saunders and Chris Therien. Hopefully we’ll be hearing a whole bunch of AC/DC tonight.

Will Craig Berube tell anyone to “get lost” tonight?

You can’t predict Chief. He is the wild card.

Who do I have to look forward to seeing in orange and black?

We’re expecting the lines to come together like this:

Scott Hartnell – Claude Giroux – Wayne Simmonds

Brayden Schenn – Vincent Lecavalier – Jakub Voracek

Max Talbot – Sean Couturier – Matt Read

Zac Rinaldo – Adam Hall – Jay Rosehill

Kimmo Timonen – Luke Schenn

Mark Streit – Andrej Meszaros

Nicklas Grossmann – Braydon Coburn

The red-hot Steve Mason will be in net for the Flyers in this one.

Why is Jay Rosehill playing?

I, frankly, don’t know. He took a terrible double minor in Tuesday night’s game that the Flyers’ penalty kill was able to fend off. Many speculated that nearly costing the team the game a valuable two points would be enough for Berube and his emphasis on accountability to bench Rosehill, but that is apparently not the case.

What about Erik Gustafsson?

He’s still sitting in the press box. It looks like the only thing that will get Gus into the lineup at this point is an injury or trade.

Who do I have to look forward to booing?

The Coyotes’ lines are expected to look like this:

Lauri Korpikoski – Mike Ribeiro – Shane Doan

Mikkel Boedker – Martin Hanzal – Radim Vrbata

Lucas Lessio – Antoine Vermette – David Moss

Rob Klinkhammer – Kyle Chipchura – Chris Brown

Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Zbynek Michalek

Keith Yandle – Rostislav Klesla

David Schlemko – David Rundblad

Thomas Greiss is expected to start in net for the ‘Yotes in this one.
