Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
Last weekend the Philadelphia Flyers played a game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers won the game, scoring four goals in the process. The first goal of the game was scored by Jay Rosehill… But if you were watching the NHL Network, you might have been a little bit confused as to who actually scored the first goal:
As you can see, Jay Rosehill is there in the middle, being isolated in a shot because he scored the goal. In the top right corner of your screen, however, you would have seen a graphic with Vincent Lecavalier‘s picture saying he notched his sixth twine tickler of the season. I mean, I guess I can see how they look alike… Or no… No I cant, not at all. But maybe the NHL Network was just predicting the future as Lecavalier eventually did score his sixth of the year as you can see here:
See you guys next week!
