So earlier this week Alex Semin of the Carolina Hurricanes was sitting on the edge of the boards in front of the ‘Canes’ bench waiting for a player on his team to hop off the ice so he could drop in for a shift. Corey Perry of the Anaheim Ducks was probably taught as a young lad to seize the day, so he kind of, sort of, maybe, a little bit, took the “seize” part pretty literally…
