Tye McGinn has to be the unluckiest hockey player alive right now.
After a third call-up to the team just this season alone, and without seeing any game action due to an illness, McGinn was sent down to the Adirondack Phantoms today, and the Flyers signed Chris VandeVelde to an NHL contract with the intention of recalling him.

He will be available to play tonight against the Montreal Canadiens, but it remains to be seen whether he will.
The 23-year old McGinn was called up from the Phantoms after the back injury suffered by Vinny Lecavalier, but as soon as he arrived, contracted an illness that kept him out of the lineup. The oft-recalled winger has three goals in six games with the Flyers this year.
VandeVelde, 26, originally a Phantoms signing, had a strong Flyers camp this year, and was one of the last cuts from the team. For Adirondack this year, he has 7 goals and 6 assists in 23 games
