I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most talented and inspiring people I have ever met through the highs and lows of Philly sports here on Flyers Faithful, but now it is time for me to say goodbye.
This site has been my child and all of its contributors have been family to me. I cherished every group text message, administrative meeting, fundraiser, and social media interaction that Flyers Faithful has provided me with the opportunity to have.
Sadly, life has gotten in the way — as it tends to do — and I have neglected the Philly Sports Faithful sites and the lofty aspirations we had for them as a result.
This was going to be a big year for us, a year that would yield the most successful fundraisers, the launch of a web series, the growth of the Philly Sports Faithful brand and much more.
That is no longer to be. It will still be a big year but I will not be involved in it.
Philly Sports Faithful has merged with a series of blogs that will allow its writers to reach a larger audience and have a much stronger support structure than I was able to provide. Flyers Faithful will now be part of Flyerdelphia, Phillies Faithful a part of Philliedelphia, and Eagles Faithful a part of Eagledelphia.
Under the supervision of Frank Klose and household names such as Brian Startare and Matt Lombardo, the dedicated members (formerly) of the Philly Sports Faithful family will be able to flourish in ways previously unimaginable and I cannot wait to see it.
Stepping down is hard but, in this instance, I’ve come to realize that I am really just stepping out of the way.
I wish all of the writers the best and I cannot thank you enough.
Additionally, it would be foolish and negligent of me not to humbly acknowledge our readership, not to mention the selfless people who volunteered or participated in our fundraisers. For those of you who kept coming back to the site(s) and/or event(s), I thank you. You kept the ship moving forward and allowed this opportunity for our writers to exist. To you, we owe our sincerest gratitude.
