Titans slip by Royals thanks to OT magic from Bohmbach

On a dreary day outside that was just as gloomy inside due to the fact that there seemed to be roughly the same amount of hockey players on the ice as fans in the seats, Andy Bohmbach provided a ray of hope. For one day at least, the last place team in the Atlantic and the Eastern Conference outshined the best in the Atlantic and the East as  Bohmbach recorded the game-winning score with 26.1 seconds remaining in overtime to get the Trenton Titans a 4-3 win over the Reading Royals. “Every game you play you want to prove a …

Q: What brings you out today? A: I just thought it was a nice day for a stroll in New Jersey…No I’m thrilled to be back, it’s exciting.  I’m looking forward to the next 48 games and hopefully the playoffs.  The fact that I told the league to get it done by my birthday made me feel real good. Despite the glory of remembrance, it wasn’t all champagne and roses and hope from the start. It also started out the season 3-7-1, were shut out in back-to-back games including giving a former expansion club its first-ever shutout victory, failed to produce much offense during a …
