Phantoms Recall Goaltender Carsen Chubak From ECHL

On Saturday, the Adirondack Phantoms announced that they had recalled goaltender Carsen Chubak from the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. This move appears to have been made due to the injury sustained by Phantoms goaltender Yann Danis in Friday night’s game against the Albany Devils. Danis was injured in a collision with several players about nine minutes into the first period, and Cal Heeter came in to replace him for the rest of the game. Steve Mason recorded 28 of 31 shots, while Tim Thomas held the Flyers to only one goal on 38 shots. The Flyers were aggressive on the attack in the opening half of the first period, but were lucky that the Panthers did not capitalize on several turnover opportunities. Mason …

With 14 games under his belt this season, Nick Cousins leads the Phantoms in points with nine.

Phantoms Contributing From All Sides

Fifteen games into the season, the Adirondack Phantoms currently hold a 7-6-2 record as they await Friday’s matchup against the Binghamton Senators. Their record may not look like much, but six of those seven wins came during a recent six-game winning streak that ended on November 10th after a 3-2 loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. They’ve now lost two since that win streak, but they are showing some serious promise, thanks to contributions all throughout the roster. One would expect a team’s star players to score points, to lift the rest of the roster up when they’re struggling. Luckily …
