Phantoms: New Home, New Hope – The Voice From Above, Dan Miner

I have been associated with the Glens Falls Civic Center in several different aspects, from inputting online stats during the Frostbite era, to operating the message board, and now writer for Flyers Faithful covering the Phantoms. During all my stints, there was one constant: The voice from above, Dan Miner, PA Announcer. Not only is Dan a terrific on-air talent, but he is a passionate, hockey smart and kind individual who welcomed me into the press box very quickly. The Flying Dead: A look at Mason’s Mask

Put down your torches and pitchforks, it’s time to talk about Steve Mason’s new mask. Let me say that, from my 17 years of experience with graphic and web design, I know everyone has their own opinions of what looks good. This was the sixth meeting between the Falcons (45-22-5-4) and Adirondack (30-37-3-4) and four out the six times Springfield has scored first within the first six minutes of the game. Boone Jenner opened the scoring in the first period with an assist from Sean Collins. Spencer Machacek and Jake Hansen would both score in the second period with primary assists on both goals going to Nick Drazenovic. Allen York delivered the win by stopping 20 …

15 Rounds to Go Around, Phantoms Defeat Senators in Shootout

It only took Garrett Roe 59 minutes and 59.7 seconds to tie the game, and it only took 15 rounds of a shootout for Mark Alt to score the game-winning goal, leading the Phantoms to victory over the Binghamton Senators by a score of 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Pat Cannone broke the stalemate early in the third period for Binghamton (42-24-1-6) with a helper from Hugh Jessiman. Despite the loss, Marc Cheverie had a good outing posting 27 saves through 59 minutes of play. “Now when was the last time you saw a more exciting …
