The morning after: Flyers @ Sabres 10.03.10

“The morning after” is a review of the previous night’s Flyers’ game which, in theory, provides a more objective perspective on the game. Overall, last night’s 9-3 loss against the Buffalo Sabres was a forgettable one but there is no reason to be worried. The Flyers only dressed a handful of players who will be on the opening night roster. Bill Guerin played his last unimpressive game of the preseason and, quite possibly, in a Flyers uniform. The local media was unanimously doubtful that Guerin would be offered a contract. Frank Seravalli hints that Andreas Nodl may make the team. …

The morning after: Flyers vs. Sabres 10.01.10

“The morning after” is a review of the previous night’s Flyers’ game which, in theory, provides a more objective perspective on the game. Well, that was the most entertaining game of the preseason. Brian Boucher looked good in net tonight, outdeuling Ryan Miller to a 3-1 Flyers victory. He’s played the toughest games of the preseason, which should be an indication that, no matter how high the organization is on Sergei Bobrovsky, Boucher will begin the season as the starting goaltender. The morning after: Flyers vs. Islanders 9.29.10

“The morning after” is a review of the previous night’s Flyers’ game which, in theory, provides a more objective perspective on the game. The Flyers celebrated their first regulation win of the preseason last night. It was the second consecutive game that did not go to a shootout. Whew. The team faced off against the New York Islanders, who were playing their first game of the preseason. This was an expected win for the Flyers, as the Islanders dressed many of their prospects. Perhaps the biggest story of the night was that Ville Leino, Blair Betts, and Johan Backlund returned …

Five Reasons I Love the Flyers: Crane Kicker

My name is Nick. I operate Crane Kick Chronicles, which is a blog about crane kicks. It’s absurd and makes no money and no one reads it and I love it. It cures my boredom and I find it hilarious that people are actually sending me crane kicks from around the world. I also have a cult following of high school girls on Twitter. I also love the Flyers and Philadelphia sports in general. I used to cover sports for a wire service and some local newspapers out of college. I still enjoy writing, so when I was approached for …
