Projecting Team USA’s 2014 World Junior Roster

USA Hockey revealed it’s 26-player preliminary camp roster yesterday morning for the the 2014 World Junior Championships in Malmo Sweden later this month.The selection camp will take place between Dec.15-18 in Minneapolis and will include five practices at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota, as well as a pre-tournament game at Minnesota State University on Dec. 17. The final roster will be announced on Dec. 23rd. University of Minnesota head coach Don Lucia will run a camp that includes 15 forwards, eight defenseman, and three goaltenders. Penn State 2016 commit Kris Myllari is already turning heads

He won’t be in Happy Valley until the fall of 2016, but ’97 born defenseman Kris Myllari has the potential be a huge pick-up for Guy Gadowsky and the Nittany Lions. Myllari played with the prestigious Ottawa Senators Midget AAA program last year and had 25 points in 29 games played. The 6-foot-2, 185 pound rearguard currently plays for Kanata Stallions of the CCHL, where in 24 games he has two goals and 9 assists for 11 points. 2014 Draft Eligibles: Oshawa’s Dal Colle worthy of a top five selection come June

Back in September, before the OHL season began, I did a quick preview of the top ten OHL players who are NHL draft eligible this season. (You can view my rankings here.)
