Bid adieu once more to defenseman Danny Syvret, as he was dealt to the New York Rangers on Monday afternoon in exchange for Kris Newbury. American Hockey League fans should be familiar with the 31-year-old winger, alternately described as a “power forward” and “enforcer.” Newbury picked up 20 goals and 62 points, along with 127 penalty minutes in 70 games for the Connecticut Whale a season ago, right on the heels of a 25-goal season in Hartford the year before.
