Penn State 2016 commit Kris Myllari is already turning heads

He won’t be in Happy Valley until the fall of 2016, but ’97 born defenseman Kris Myllari has the potential be a huge pick-up for Guy Gadowsky and the Nittany Lions. Myllari played with the prestigious Ottawa Senators Midget AAA program last year and had 25 points in 29 games played. The 6-foot-2, 185 pound rearguard currently plays for Kanata Stallions of the CCHL, where in 24 games he has two goals and 9 assists for 11 points. Future Flyers Report: Comment on Gostisbehere, a look at The Subway Super Series

There has been a lot of interest in Philadelphia Flyers’ prospect Shayne Gostisbehere since the team picked him in the third round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. This weekend may have created even more intrigue around the defenseman, as an opposing coach had some strong opinions on the blue liner. Gostisbehere, who was named ECAC’s Player of the Week, played well this weekend against RPI.
