Kimmo Timonen scored the go-ahead goal, his first of the season, at the 11:30 mark of the third period to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead. The Flyers would go on to beat the Ottawa Senators 5-2. Claude Giroux opened the scoring for the Flyers, lighting the lamp on the power play for his second goal of the season. Fifteen games into the season, the Adirondack Phantoms currently hold a 7-6-2 record as they await Friday’s matchup against the Binghamton Senators. Their record may not look like much, but six of those seven wins came during a recent six-game winning streak that ended on November 10th after a 3-2 loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. They’ve now lost two since that win streak, but they are showing some serious promise, thanks to contributions all throughout the roster. I wanted to do something a bit different this week by recording a quick video that shows how I like to use advanced statistics (at least in one example).
