Despite losing three of their last four games, they gained a point in two of them and are currently just four points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Bryzgalov leads Flyers to 3-1 win over Bruins

The Philadelphia Flyers grabbed two points today with a 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins today at the Wells Fargo Center. The trio of Mike Knuble, Matt Read, and Ruslan Fedotenko found the back of the net today, as the only visitor to beat Ilya Bryzgalov in victory was Nathan Horton. Bryz had 33 saves to Tuukka Rask’s 19, as Rask allowed two goals on 21 shots. Flyers acquire Huskins from Red Wings

A Flyers insider reported and the club later confirmed that defensive help is on the way…and it’s not from Adirondack. Minutes into Saturday’s Flyers-Bruins tilt, word came down that Paul Holmgren worked the phones and acquired little-used blueliner Kent Huskins from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a conditional draft pick in 2014.
