Comeback Kids Do It Again; Beat The Islanders 6-4

  Michael Raffl wristed a shot passed Islanders goaltender Kevin Poulin with 4:15 remaining in the game to give the Flyers a 5-4 lead Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers would go on to win 6-4. Andrej Meszaros continued his offensive production, netting two goals in the first period, for his third and fourth goals of the season. Meszaros first goal came unassisted at 14:43 of the first, and his second tied the game, came from Scott Hartnell and Wayne Simmonds. Josi, Weber lead Predators past Flyers for shootout win

Roman Josi grabbed the extra point for Nashville in the seventh round of the shootout and Shea Weber had three points tonight, as the Predators edged out the Philadelphia Flyers by the score of 4-3 in a shootout. If you’ve been reading my coverage of Penn State hockey all season long then you probably know I haven’t been that impressed with this team. Granted, it’s going to take a few year’s of recruiting classes to become a power in college hockey and nobody thought they would be successful right away. The one thing I kept wanting to see out of Gadowsky’s squad  was a full 60 minute effort night in and night out. Lecavalier beats Enroth in final seconds, Flyers edge out Sabres 4-3

It wasn’t pretty, but the Philadelphia Flyers did manage to pull out a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres tonight at the First Niagara Center. Vincent Lecavalier ended a 13-game goal drought by beating a flopping Jhonas Enroth with just 14.8 seconds left in regulation for the game-winning goal. Scott Hartnell had a three-point performance in the victory and Wayne Simmonds provided a pair of assists, while Steve Mason recorded just 16 saves for the decision.
