There’s snow and ice on the ground and the temperatures outside are frigid, but that shouldn’t stop us from thinking about the month of June. Penn State’s struggles continue against Wisconsin

Game one versus the Badgers last Friday night was simple not a pretty game to watch. The Nittany Lions were thoroughly outplayed in all facets of the game. The Badgers out shot Penn State by a 43-28 margin and the Lions went 0-for-3 on the powerplay, while Wisconsin finished 0-for-4 on the power play. Badger netminder Joel Rumpel turned aside 27 shots for the 7-1 victory. Fake Hockey Help: Howard’s struggles, Ryan Johansen’s production, Sean Couturier’s offensive burst

As Philadelphia Flyers’ fans saw on Wednesday night, Jimmy Howard hasn’t been at the top of his game lately. Before he allowed five goals on 33 shots against to the Orange and Black, Howard was able to provide a 29-save shutout against the lowly New York Islanders. However, the candidate for the American Olympic team endured a seven-game losing streak where he allowed four goals against or more three times and allowed three goals against or more an additional two times. Projecting Team USA’s 2014 World Junior Roster

USA Hockey revealed it’s 26-player preliminary camp roster yesterday morning for the the 2014 World Junior Championships in Malmo Sweden later this month.The selection camp will take place between Dec.15-18 in Minneapolis and will include five practices at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota, as well as a pre-tournament game at Minnesota State University on Dec. 17. The final roster will be announced on Dec. 23rd. University of Minnesota head coach Don Lucia will run a camp that includes 15 forwards, eight defenseman, and three goaltenders.
