Flyers Outlast Jets; Hold On For 2-1 Win

Sean Couturier recorded the game-winning goal on the penalty kill, his second goal of the season, as the Flyers beat the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 Friday afternoon. Scott Hartnell opened the scoring for the Flyers, as he lit the lamp with his fifth goal of season 49 seconds into the opening period. Steve Mason was solid in net for the Orange and the Black, stopping 25-26 shots. Flyers Outlast Senators; Win 5-2

Kimmo Timonen scored the go-ahead goal, his first of the season, at the 11:30 mark of the third period to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead. The Flyers would go on to beat the Ottawa Senators 5-2. Claude Giroux opened the scoring for the Flyers, lighting the lamp on the power play for his second goal of the season.
