Royals rally, score three in third for 3-2 win in Trenton

After they nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback of their own on Friday night, the Trenton Titans watched the Reading Royals strike for three goals in the third period for a 3-2 win at the Sun National Bank Center last night. The loss completed the teams’ series of three straight meetings in three consecutive days, as the Titans snuck away with an overtime win on Thursday before losing back-to-back one-goal affairs the last two games. Trenton Update: 12/21-12/27

All that separates the Toledo Walleye, the team sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference, and the Evansville IceMen, who sit last in the Eastern Conference, is 10 points. With that being said, a team that was in the Trenton Titans’ position of being out of the playoff picture can quickly change with a string of wins.
