Like many of us, hockey players have citizenship with just one country. For a player to have dual citizenship in two different countries is a bit more uncommon. Although, it does occur. NHL Hall of Famer Brett Hull has dual citizenship between Canada and United States and he chose to play for the Stars and Stripes. Current Montreal Canadien Alex Galchenyuk has dual citizenship between the United States and Russia, and he too chooses to play for America. Penn State’s struggles continue against Wisconsin

Game one versus the Badgers last Friday night was simple not a pretty game to watch. The Nittany Lions were thoroughly outplayed in all facets of the game. The Badgers out shot Penn State by a 43-28 margin and the Lions went 0-for-3 on the powerplay, while Wisconsin finished 0-for-4 on the power play. Badger netminder Joel Rumpel turned aside 27 shots for the 7-1 victory. Future Flyers Report: The former Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

Last year for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL, Nick Cousins led the team with 103 points in 64 games while Brandon Alderson sat third on the team with 64 points in 67 games. After both players saw a handful of games with the Adirondack Phantoms last season, Cousins and Alderson haven’t quite produced the gaudy numbers they provided last year. Cousins has the higher point total between the two players, as he has three goals and six helpers in 22 games with the Philadelphia Flyers’ AHL affiliate this season. Projecting Team USA’s 2014 World Junior Roster

USA Hockey revealed it’s 26-player preliminary camp roster yesterday morning for the the 2014 World Junior Championships in Malmo Sweden later this month.The selection camp will take place between Dec.15-18 in Minneapolis and will include five practices at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota, as well as a pre-tournament game at Minnesota State University on Dec. 17. The final roster will be announced on Dec. 23rd. University of Minnesota head coach Don Lucia will run a camp that includes 15 forwards, eight defenseman, and three goaltenders. Gostisbehere shines as Union sweeps Penn State; PSU opens up Big Ten play this weekend in Madison

Daniel Ciampini’s goal with three seconds remaining in last Sunday’s contest proved to be the difference as No.11 Union College defeated Penn State, 5-4, to complete the weekend sweep. For Penn State, their loss on Sunday was their toughest one to date because the Nittany Lions held a 4-1 lead at one point in the game.
