Hockey Hilarity: JvR Is A Grammar Nazi

Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more! One of our favorite fellow writers and hockey tourney fundraiser fixtures, Dustin Leed, was tweeting (follow him at @D_Leed if you don’t already) this week about his distaste for the Los Angeles Kings and the overall, how can I put this delicately, ridiculously arrogant air that surrounds the organization:   Which is true. My work has been published online in the United …

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Defenseman Maxim Lamarche from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The news was announced by Mikael Lalancette from TVA Sports. Maxim Lamarche s'entend avec les Flyers. Contrat à deux volets. #grossesaison — Mikaël Lalancette (@MLalancette) May 30, 2013 The 20-year old has played the last four seasons with Baie-Comeau Drakkar.  The Flyers signed him as a free agent to a two-way deal.  At 6’ 2” and 218 pounds he can surely help the Flyers in rebuilding a woeful blue line from last year. Coming off of his best year in the QMJHL, Lamarche had 9 …
