2014 Draft Eligibles: Kootenay’s Sam Reinhart continues the family tradition

Sam Reinhart has been one of the more recognizable names in the WHL for quite a while now. The former 15th overall pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft has been a force since joining the Kootenay Ice full time as a 16-year old in the 2011-12 season. Currently, Reinhart is projected to be the number one overall pick in June’s draft in Philadelphia, but he’s also expected to play a prominent role for Team Canada starting today as the 2014 World Juniors get underway in Malmo, Sweden. Penn State travels to Pittsburgh this weekend for the Three Rivers Classic

For the second straight season, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be playing in the Three Rivers Classic at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Last season, Penn State lost the opening game of the classic 6-0 to Robert Morris and then beat Ohio State 5-4. Penn State will once again play Robert Morris this Friday at 7:30 and then play the winner or loser of the Boston College/Bowling Green match up on Saturday. Welcome to Flying Pucks, a hodgepodge of thoughts regarding the Flyers storylines of the past week. Lack of identity The Flyers are sorely missing something to define themselves by this year.
