2013 Draft Eligibles: Domi, Horvat, and Zadorov continue the tradition of excellence in London

The London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League have had a rich history when it comes to graduating players into the NHL/WHA.  Since 1973, a total of 175 players have been drafted by NHL/WHA clubs. The Knights have produced Hockey Hall of Famers Dino Ciccarelli and Darryl Sittler, along with current NHL superstars Patrick Kane, John Tavares, Rick Nash, and Corey Perry. Royals beat Cincinnati, roar into Kelly Cup Finals

After a 12-year journey which included three previous busted attempts to reach the fourth and/or final round of the ECHL playoffs, the Royals finally got over the hump on Saturday night. Kirk MacDonald registered the winning goal just past the midway point of regulation and Riley Gill stopped 25 pucks as the Royals posted a 3-1 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Flyers season may have been a downer, but there were still positives to take out of it. Such positives were the strong play of Jakub Voracek, Luke Schenn, and the young kids on defense.
