Help us break the $7k mark in donations for ESYHF

Through four fundraisers this season, we were able to raise $6,695 for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, thanks to your hard work and donations. We are going to bring that donation to ESYHF later this week. First, we would love to see if we could break the $7,000 mark. If you have a few bucks to spare, please donate to help us reach this goal and help a great cause! Also, if you could help spread the word about this, we would greatly appreciate it. Shameless Self-Promotion

But I did ask permission from the Powers That Be here on Flyers Faithful. I’m published today. It’s one of the craziest things I’ll ever get to say and perhaps the most exciting. It’s a bit like giving birth, though all the labor is mental and emotional (only occasionally physical). I’ve been writing somewhat seriously since January 2000 when I was stuck in a college class that I had to take but didn’t find interesting. I wrote several stories and about twenty poems in a month. The guy is 27 years old, right handed (which must be Homer’s #1 requirement this offseason), and played over 14 minutes a night last season with Tampa Bay. In fact, he had two seasons with the Islanders where he averaged over 20 minutes a night. So the guy is probably a relatively adequate third pairing guy, that comes at a good price. However, that isn’t the problem. As Bill Meltzer …
