Titans slip by Royals thanks to OT magic from Bohmbach

On a dreary day outside that was just as gloomy inside due to the fact that there seemed to be roughly the same amount of hockey players on the ice as fans in the seats, Andy Bohmbach provided a ray of hope. Boucher and Lilja on waivers and will hit Flyers’ cap, Sean O’Donnell retires

The Flyers placed Brian Boucher and Andreas Lilja on waivers today, presumably for the purposes of sending them to the AHL. It was already expected that Boucher would be waived so he could be re-assigned to the Phantoms. While in the AHL, Boucher will hit the Flyers cap for $50k as his cap hit exceeds the $900k threshold. Lilja is slightly more surprising, but with Bruno Gervais and Kurtis Foster in camp, Lilja slid to 8th on the depth chart.
