We are now at the point of the offseason where the biggest news related to former Philadelphia Flyers has reached Andreas Nodl signing in Switzerland and Ryan Potulny being released from a KHL squad. After he finished his second stint with the Los Angeles Kings in 2010, defenseman Sean O’Donnell joined the Philadelphia Flyers after two seasons with the Western Conference squad that introduced him to the NHL in 1994-1995. With a one-year deal that had a cap hit of $1.3 million, O’Donnell served as a third-pairing blue liner for the Orange and Black. After he totaled three goals in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 with the Kings, O’Donnell had one goal in a Philadelphia Flyers’ sweater. Arron Asham has played for six NHL teams over his career and he may be with a seventh when the start of the 2013-2014 season starts. After being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1996 and playing for the squad until 2002, Asham joined the New York Islanders for four seasons. The enforcer then endured a season with the New Jersey Devils before he became a member of the Philadelphia Flyers in the summer of 2008. It was a slow week in terms of the movement of former Philadelphia Flyers and Philly’s draft picks, as only three former players and two draft picks switched clubs. The most notable move was Jaromir Jagr joining the New Jersey Devils. Jagr was a member of the Flyers in 2011-2012, where he posted 53 points in 73 tilts and eight points in 11 contests during the 2012 postseason. After spending time with the New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins in his first three years in the NHL, Daniel Lacroix became a Philadelphia Flyer in the summer of 1996. The pugilist experienced all of 188 regular season games in the NHL, 130 of which came with the Orange and Black in 1996-1997 and 1997-1998.
