Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival 2012

This year was my first ever attending the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival.  I’ve heard about the event plenty of times before but never found myself in a position to attend.  This year my girlfriend decided to take her son to get a picture with Jaromir Jagr at the carnival as a Christmas present and brought me along for the ride.  You can read about my experience after the jump.

Mail Call

This is what was waiting for me in the mailbox. Which is so horrible that as soon as it’s uploaded on here, I’m just going to delete the photo off my desktop because I feel so wrong to have something called malkin.jpg. ::shudders:: But then I open the magazine and this is what I see: After a really long week, Claude Giroux appears in my mailbox. Simmonds missed the beginning of the game due to an injury he suffered in warm-ups. After …

Pretty impressive, isn’t it? He turned 40 last December but he’s still valuable to his Czech Extraliga Team – HC Bili Tygri Liberec (HC White Tigers Liberec). Right now he leads, the league in points (56) and assists (34), although he played only 44 games. He is also fourth in goals (22). In his previous season, Nedved racked up 55 points and he ranked third in points …

Welcome to this week’s edition of 3-on -3, where we look back at the week that was for the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are coming off a very tough week, going 1-2-1 in four games, but losing two big tests against the Rangers and Red Wings. The three points the Flyers captured was just enough to keep the Orange and Black in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  Let’s get to this week’s 3 “hot” and 3 “not” players of the week. 3”Hot”: Brayden Schenn: The 20-year-old former first round pick of the LA Kings had a good week racking …
