Reactions to reactions

There’s a lot of rumors and opinions going around regarding the Flyers right now and, well, to cut to the chase, I’m going to throw my hat into the ring too. The idea that Giroux would in any way benefit from being stripped of the C for reasons similar to Lecavalier’s youthful inexperience is of course ludicrous. -Ryan Lambert Sure, Claude Giroux (24) is not as young as Vinny Lecavalier (20) was when he was stripped of his captaincy but there are other, legitimate reasons to remove the C from Giroux’s jersey. Playing in a major market — especially one …

Malhotra pots winner in overtime, Hurricanes beat Flyers 2-1

Despite being held without a goal until the final minute of regulation, the Carolina Hurricanes pulled off a 2-1 win in overtime over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers tonight. Game 11 Preview: Anaheim Ducks @ Philadelphia Flyers

Anaheim Ducks (9-3-0) @ Philadelphia Flyers (3-7-0), 7:00pm, CSN-Philly/PRIME After a pair of wins, the Philadelphia Flyers find themselves sitting at 3-7-0 and arguably still searching for their first impressive victory of the season. With one win coming against a Florida Panthers team that saw Tim Thomas let in two soft goals and a sloppy win against the New York Rangers, the Orange and Black did look strong against the New York Islanders for their third win of the year on Saturday. However, it did come against Kevin Poulin and a squad who just played against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pennsylvania …
