Despite being down by three, the Slovaks found a way to tie the game. Juhamatti Aaltonen had the go-ahead goal, which ultimately was the game-winning one. Day three of the IIHF World Championships: France-Austria 3-1 Team France started very well leading by two goals just five minutes into the first period. They added one more in the second period and Austria was only able to manage one goal. Belarus-Slovenia 4-3 Team Belarus won 4-3 after losing their first game to the Czech Republic. Alexei Ugarov scored the game-winning goal with four minutes remaining in the third period. On Thursday afternoon, U.S.A. Hockey announced the names of the first 15 players that will be on the roster for 2013 Men’s National Team at the World Championships, which will be held between two sites, Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden, between May 3-19. Among those chosen are that of current Adirondack Phantoms goalie Cal Heeter and former Flyers defenseman Matt Carle. Heeter has played 32 games in his first season with the Phantoms, going 12-16-3 with a 2.92 goals- against average and a save percentage of .908. Prior to curating your opinions last week, I ran down a list of the players that the Flyers should keep heading into next season. This week, I will take a different approach, stating not what should happen but what may actually happen.
