If you’re a hockey fan, you use social media, and you don’t follow the Phoenix Coyotes‘ Paul Bissonnette at @BizNasty2Point0 I don’t understand you as a person because you’re missing out on gems of tweets like this. Flight Plan: North and South East

The Philadelphia Flyers are feeling a little bit better about themselves today as they beat the Boston Bruins yesterday by a score of 3-1. Despite losing three of their last four games, they gained a point in two of them and are currently just four points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. This week will see them host the Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens, before travelling north to visit the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Winnipeg Jets. Hockey Hilarity: Staal Scores! For Martin Brodeur?!

Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more! Unfortunately, they haven’t put themselves in a much better position by allowing the Devils a point in that game, but still, two points are two points. There has been much positive to take away from the Flyers’ current slide. They’ve been mired in a 5-5-0 run and have lost four of their last six games. At the very least, the team played …

Flight Plan: Southeastern Hospitality

The Philadelphia Flyers kicked off their first home stand with a bang, beating the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 5-3. Despite a lackluster third period, the Flyers were able to hold on for their third win of the 2013 season as Danny Briere, Braydon Coburn, Kurtis Foster, and Mike Knuble all netted their first goals of the year. The Orange and Black will strive for more consistency this week as they will play host to three Southeast Division teams after their second two-day break in a week. The Flyers face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, the Florida Panthers on Thursday, …
