The Flyers managed to hold on for a one-goal win Thursday before they dropped both of their games on the weekend to go 1-2-0 this week. The Phantoms continue to struggle, as they dropped their pair of games this week to extend their losing streak to three games. Adirondack has only won one out of their last nine games and are currently on an eight-game losing streak away from the Glens Falls Civic Center. They will have a chance to end both skids with three away games and four games overall in the next seven days. Schenn Records First Game-Winning Goal In NHL, Flyers Beat Leafs 4-3

Scott Hartnell recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick, while Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 24 shots in the Flyers’ 4-3 win over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. Brayden Schenn scored his sixth goal of the season late in the second period for his first game-winning goal in the NHL, as the Flyers ended their season-high three-game losing streak. Max Talbot and Claude Giroux were the other two Flyers to score in the second period. After a dominant victory on Thursday against one of the hotter teams in the league, the Flyers proceeded to drop their next handful of games to suffer their first three-game losing streak of the season. Poor starts and poor goaltending hurt the Flyers over the weekend, as the only other point they gained this week was from last night’s shootout loss.
